Just wanted to inform of a possible bug when you try to select multiple assets it "freezes the editor", for example when i try to select muliple trees too fast it stops responding to mouse clicks but i can still scroll in the menus and then you have to reload the page. As long as you wait about a second before clicking another asset it wont freeze. Nothing major but something to look into if you have time!

@jonathan.claesson, hey!

Thanks for flagging this! I’ve tried to reproduce it on my side, but so far I haven’t been able to.

Could you tell me where exactly you’re clicking when this happens: in the Collections window with the tree models, in the model list, or directly on the trees in the 3D view? Also, which browser are you using? Tried using incognito mode with all extensions disabled? Does your browser have WebGPU support?

And when it happens, do the clicks start working again if you wait for a while, or does the Editor only recover after reloading the page?

That should give me enough information to narrow it down. Cheers!

@jonathan.claesson, hey!
Unfortunately, it does not bring any useful info to me.
Please share:
- Screen recording of how it happens exactly
- Hardware and software specifications of machine
- Screenshot of Inspect Console from your browser (F12) when this happens

Thanks

@jonathan.claesson Two quick extras while you grab that recording. When it happens, does the whole page go dead, so hover highlights and animations stop as well and Chrome may ask whether you want to wait for the page? Or does everything still look alive and only the clicks do nothing? And does the same thing happen in other Collections tabs, like Buildings, or only with the trees? Cheers!

The whole page goes dead but chrome doesnt "react" to it crashing, and the same things happen in other categories

@jonathan.claesson, it's clearly not the whole page that goes dead; that's why Chrome does not react.

One small test would tell me a lot. Next time it freezes, click into the Console tab, type 1+1, and press Enter. Does it print 2 straight away, or does the console sit there doing nothing? And if you still manage a Performance Tab recording (same Inspect -> Performance) of the freeze, that would be perfect. Cheers!

@jonathan.claesson Thanks for the trace! It looks like Chrome started dragging a collection thumbnail during rapid selection, which canceled the click. I’ve deployed a fix for that. Could you refresh the editor and try switching between assets quickly again? Please let me know if it still happens.

@jonathan.claesson, thanks for confirming and for all the stuff you provided.
Turned out it was not a page crash or anything; you were just not clicking- you were "clicking and holding," -> enabling drag mode in the browser. So that's why it was happening only when you do it fast.

Cheers!
