Hi, following up on the earlier "trees" thread - I applied the Object Distribution modifier to all 56 features on my Forests layer (saw "56 eligible", clicked Apply, ground color changed as expected). But my FS25 export still has zero tree objects in the scenegraph.

Does tree model assignment from the default Trees collection happen automatically during export once Object Distribution is applied, or is there a separate manual step to assign trees from the collection that I'm missing? I couldn't find an asset/collection picker on the Object Distribution modifier itself or on any newly created marker layer.

Project: Hartsel East Farm. Thanks!

@jackhhillmann, hello!

No, the assignment from the default tree collection does not happen automatically. You need to select the trees you want and apply them. You should be able to see trees right in the MapToPlay Editor. If they are not there, they will not be in the export.

Cheers!

Thanks! That screenshot helps - I can see the Collections panel with tree thumbnails and an Apply button in the bottom-left, replacing where the Layers panel normally sits. How do I actually open that panel? I don't see a toolbar button for it in my editor - only Layers/Toolbox/View Options/Objects. Do I need to select something specific first (like a marker/point layer) for it to appear?

Trees are working now, thanks! New issue though: on my Water layer, applying the Depth modifier (4 eligible polygons, incl. "Spinney Mountain Reservoir") consistently fails with "Request body is too large" - happens every time, reproducible across 3 attempts. I tried selecting just 2 of the 4 polygons hoping to shrink the request, but the modifier panel still shows "4 eligible" regardless of selection - seems to always operate at full layer scope. Any way to apply Depth to a smaller batch, or a setting to reduce payload size for this? Map is 14336x14336m overall / 12288x12288m playable if that's relevant. Thanks again!

@jackhhillmann, regarding the error, I'll check it.
But you can definitely apply a modifier at the category level and even at the single polygon level; just make sure you're clicking the button near the right feature.
